Watchers

So here I am, thanksgiving break. It's kind of nice to have a week off school, because things certainly couldn't be busier.
So of course, here I am, time for college applications. It's brutal, because I'm not quite sure how to go about things. My high school is pretty good for giving us useless information on how to do the process, but not exactly how to time it out. Good thing all my deadlines are in february, because otherwise I would be pulling all my hair out right about now. Many have been in this position before me and survived, so I'm counting on that to pull me through.
About three weeks ago, I took a week off school to go visit colleges on the east coast. Part of the reason I went so far away is because I want to live on the east coast later on in life, so why not get started now, and the second reason is that the midwest is not particularly known for its art schools. So I visited Baltimore, New York, Providence, and Pittsburgh, all within a week. Needless to say, I got us lost in the ghetto a couple of times, but we emerged perfectly fine. There are some beautiful schools out there! I'm particularly taken with MICA; I sure hope that works out for me.
Oh, what else? I turned 18 last wednesday. Nothing new, really.
I started independent art at my school about four weeks ago, and it's fantastic. So far I've finished two projects, which is great considering that I have three hours a day to pour my heart and soul into these pieces. The next piece I'm working on is pretty much what you would call 'mammoth', and I kind of wish I hadn't asked myself to commit art suicide and try and finish this one in three weeks. It's brutal. So we'll see how that one goes, shall we?
Hope everything is good out there in deviantart-land. Peace!

Hey there, was browsing DA, and came across your past "Interlochen journals."

If all goes well with my VISA, I should be going to study visual arts intensives (drawing and painting), High School Division, for 6 weeks.

Is there anything you can tell me about it, tips, hints, vitalities to bring that havn't been mentioned etc? :D

That would be great! I can't wait to go!

Thanks a bunch! :)
